Kesari is a south Indian dish (sweet/dessert). It is very common in most of the functions one can see this sweet and loved by majority of the people. Orange colour gives an attractive look and is also as tasty as it looks. Very simple and easy to cook instantly.

INGREDIENTS

1 Cup of Sooji Rava
1 3/4 Cups of sugar
2 3/4 cup of water
Cardamom - 2 Nos
Cashew - 10 Nos
Ghee - 5 Table spoon
Kesari Powder - 1 Pinch

RECIPE STEPS

STEP 1

Add a teaspoon of ghee to the kadai and roast the rava until they are golden brown and keep it aside.

STEP 2

Then take 2 3/4 cup of water in a vessel and allow it to boil for 5 minutes.

STEP 3

Now add a pinch of colour powder and cardamom.

STEP 4

Now keep the flame very low and add the roasted rava sooji and stir it continuously till they become thick.

STEP 5

Now add sugar 1 3/4 cups and stir it well until they get thicker. Small lumps will form, smash them with a spoon. Now add ghee 5 tablespoon and stir.

STEP 6

Now the kesari is ready. Transfer it to a bowl and decorate it with roasted cashew. It takes only 20 minutes to prepare this sweet.
