Step 1

Add a teaspoon of ghee to the kadai and roast the rava until they are golden brown and keep it aside.

Step 2

Then take 2 3/4 cup of water in a vessel and allow it to boil for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Now add a pinch of colour powder and cardamom.

Step 4

Now keep the flame very low and add the roasted rava sooji and stir it continuously till they become thick.

Step 5

Now add sugar 1 3/4 cups and stir it well until they get thicker. Small lumps will form, smash them with a spoon. Now add ghee 5 tablespoon and stir.

Step 6

Now the kesari is ready. Transfer it to a bowl and decorate it with roasted cashew. It takes only 20 minutes to prepare this sweet.


1 Cup of Sooji Rava

1 3/4 Cups of sugar

2 3/4 cup of water

Cardamom - 2 Nos

Cashew - 10 Nos

Ghee - 5 Table spoon

Kesari Powder - 1 Pinch
